The Free Market’s booth during the July 4th festivities on the Historic 1908 Courthouse lawn was a huge success! We set up a booth to give away a variety of items as a way to demonstrate the kinds of things that can be found at the Free Market. We gave away Free Market postcards, and the kids loved our free flags! It was a tremendous way to advertise, plus we received many generous donations.
Fur-Get-Me-Not Rescue and Transport are slated to hold an adoption event at the Free Market on August 3. We hope to collect some much-needed pet items and food for this wonderful organization.
We’ve welcomed two new volunteers this month, and some of our snowbirds have come home and are helping tremendously! We could still use a few more. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping out from time to time, we’d love to have you!
