The school garden had a large impact this year. We were able to reach 48 4th graders in Ms Aldred and Ms Grubbs classes and 25 5th graders in Ms Adams class. Children planted and harvested crops and also learned basic scientific and gardening principals in addition to applying math to garden design. Students enjoyed tasting different vegetables and edible flowers and took produce home to their families. We look forward to working with the 5th grade this fall and entering vegetables in the Grayson County Fair in August.
