The Free Market Volunteers celebrated our Ninth Anniversary with a fabulous potluck, a gift exchange with a twist, and a couple of presentations. Our founder, Kathy Cole, was presented with a framed certificate thanking her for creating this initiative to serve the community and the environment—along with the requirement that she celebrate the Tenth Anniversary with them in 2027! And Hannah Gill, our amazing receptionist who is the heart and soul of the Free Market, was named Volunteer of the Year, complete with sash and crown. Not even the sudden thunderstorm and downpour could dampen our spirits! Many thanks for Laura & Rick Houston for hosting us at Willowshade, their home in Elk Creek.
