Join Rick & Cynthia Taylor for a beautiful springtime hike timed for an awesome wildflower display in Elk Garden. Expect a very slow and easy hike, rain or shine. We will identify and discuss the diversity of species found and Rick will offer pointers on macro photography. Afterward, picnic lunch (on your own) followed by an exploration of Whispering Waters Trail at Grindstone Campground.
Optional afternoon hike to see Ladyslippers blooming along the Appalachian Trail, evening hike to Buzzard Rock on Whitetop, and camping at Grindstone Campground.
