Danny Boyer To Give Presentation on “Standing Forage” at January Monthly GLC Meeting.

Posted on January 14, 2020January 14, 2020 by Cynthia Taylor

Danny Boyer, lifelong resident of Grayson County, grass-fed beef producer, past President of Grayson LandCare, and retired NCRS conservation technician, will present his research on forage at the January monthly meeting of Grayson LandCare. The meeting will be Monday, January 20th at 7 pm.

Danny has used rotational grazing for several years, and has been assessing the soil health and nutritional content of his forage.  He is pioneering  a technique called “standing forage”, as opposed to traditional hay baling techniques; and has found it to be as nutritious as the supplements usually fed to cattle in winter months.  If you raise grazing animals, you will want to attend!
