April Free Market Update: Beginning April 22nd, Free Market Will Be Open Two Days A Week!

We are happy to announce that the Free Market will re-open to the public on
Thursday and Friday afternoons (1-5 pm) beginning on April 22. We will also
be open the first Saturday of each month from 10-2. We will accept donated
items during these times and also during our workdays on Tuesdays from 1-4, as
we have been during the shutdown. As before, pandemic precautions will remain
in effect: All customers and volunteers must wear a face covering, and only five
customers will be allowed in the store at one time.

While we were closed these last four months, the store got a facelift! With mostly
donated supplies and paint, we painted the walls and warehouse doors and did
some re-arranging. Many thanks to Rob Meinecke and the other volunteers who
helped paint. And with CARES funding from the County, we purchased an air
scrubber that cleans the air in the store every two hours, removing any virus
particles! Many thanks to Danny and Teddy who unloaded and set up the
scrubber. As always with the Free Market, the hard work and good will of many
people make it possible.

We are well-stocked with lots of great items, from office supplies to dishes to craft
supplies to hardware. The Outreach Section is ready to assist any agency
clients referred to us, and our Medical Lending Library can loan you walkers,
crutches, shower chairs and other rehab supplies. We look forward to seeing old
and new friends finding treasures to take home!
