Several large bags of high-quality double-knit and jersey fabric were recently donated to the Free Market. Apparently they were left over when the knitting mill in Elk Creek made clothing for Lands End and other national retailers. Where has it been all these years? Where was the mill? Who worked there? Many mysteries and questions were raised by this lovely donation!
Since we don’t have space to display it all in the shop, we are planning to set up tables outside on Thursday, June 22nd from 10-2. We hope this will attract people who don’t usually stop to check out the Free Market. The hot dog vendors will be there, as will Emeritus Volunteers Dwight and Jane Dunbar, who are visiting for a few days from their new home in Minnesota.
Plan to join us on the 22nd, or on Saturday the 24th if it is raining on the 22nd. Watch our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LandCareFreeMarket) for announcements.
