The Independence Farmers Market will have a grand opening celebration May 3rd in Town Park. We will have a full house with vendors under the pavilion as well as under tents along the lower edge of the park.
Market co-founder and long time vendor Maureen Madden passed away earlier this year and we will be dedicating this opening day in her honor. We wouldn’t have a market if not for Maureen and Carol Lundgren.
Thanks to the Town Council and Town Manager Laura Ratcliff for their perseverance in seeing this project toward completion.
