December marked Tom and Anita Simpson’s last month as directors of Food Independence. Under their leadership, Food Independence has handed out over 19,000 boxes. We owe Tom and Anita our deepest appreciation for what they have done for Independence and Grayson county.
35 volunteers distributed 385 boxes in December. In addition, Kathy Cole & Michelle Pridgen handed out stuffed animals from the Free Market and hats knitted by volunteers to 847 neighbors in line at distribution.
