The Grayson LandCare river cleanup was August 22. We had to postpone the planned event on August 15 due to murky water after thunderstorms. The weather cooperated Saturday and we had a fun and productive time cleaning a section along highway 21 and Old River road. We collected 1,200 pounds of trash and debris including 9 tires. A big thank you to the New River Conservancy for helping to bring volunteers and boats. I hope more Grayson LandCare members can join us next August for Clean River month and help to renew the New.
