Forester Britt Boucher is the featured speaker for September. He will speak on best forest management practices for landowners on Monday September 20 from 7-8pm at the Baldwin Auditorium of the 1908 Courthouse. All GLC presentations are free and open to the public.
Britt will discuss the control of water flows, establishing stable roads for harvests for the foreseeable future while maintaining the health of wildlife (keeping den trees for example). Mr Boucher has a master’s degree in forest economics and will also address determining the value of standing trees. In addition, he has experience assisting people who put their land under conservation easement to figure the value of their holdings and can supervise timber sales.
The location in the Baldwin auditorium will allow for easy social distancing and please wear a mask.
