On Saturday, December 2nd, the Free Market will once again open the Christmas Gift Shop in the GATE Center. All year long, we squirrel away new and like-new items that would be great gifts. We have piles of terrific items for men, women and children of all ages, with lots of gift bags to keep them a secret.
From 11 am to 1 pm, only children ages 5 – 18 will be admitted, to select gifts for up to five people. Our friendly “elves” will help each child choose their gifts and see that they have them bagged and tagged before taking a Christmas cookie (courtesy of the Culinary Arts Class at GCHS) and exiting to meet their parents. From 11-3, anyone can enter and select gifts for up to five people. This is a great time for parents to find toys and games for their children or gifts for neighbors, grandparents, or whoever else they want to surprise this Christmas. If we have toys left at the end, they will go to the Volunteer Fire Department’s toy drive.
Our hope is for every item to make someone’s holiday brighter, not only with beautiful gifts but with the generous act of giving.
