IFM Schedule

We are looking forward to a great 2025 season. It is possible that opening day may be April 18 for a Easter Market. We are still polling the vendors for a firm count, stay tuned for a final schedule soon!

January 29 8pm Online Market opens at

February 15 9am-noon, IFM office, Gro More Vegetables Workshop, $15

March 1 9am-noon, IFM office, Pest, Disease, Irrigation and tools Workshop, $15

March 28 -Preseason vendor meeting 11am-2pm VFW Independence

May 3- Grand Opening, Fiber Day and Mother’s Day Craft Fair.

May 2- IFM Kids Bucks return! $5 good for anything at the Market, 1st 20 kids to the Manager tent.

June 6-1st Friday Cooking Days are back!  Guest chefs cook up local products. Free samples.

June 20-Kids Day and Healthy Kids Bucks! Join Cowboy Don, 4H, games with Laura, & more! Free fun for the entire family. $10 of Healthy Kids Bucks to the first 30 Kids to Ms. Andrea’s tent.

Friday July 4- Town of Independence Parade, market CLOSED

July 12-Wellness Day Join VDH and area health professionals for free check-ups.  Healthy Kids Bucks and Cooking Day too! Free samples. Donations appreciated

July 18-Berry Festival.  Enter the Berry pie contest and win $100! and enjoy delicious sorbet to benefit the Market and everything Berry.  Healthy Kids Bucks too!

July 25 -Take a Break from the Interstate HWY 21 yard sale weekend.

August 1-Tomato Festival- Free tomato tasting, enter the Monster Tomato contest, enter the salsa contest and win $100!  Last chance for Healthy Kids Bucks.

August 3-9 National Farmers Market Week

Friday & Saturday August 8-9- Grayson County Youth Livestock Show and Fair

August 15-Christmas in August Craft Day.  Support local artisans and shop local

September 5-1st Friday Cooking Day and NEW Garlic Festival. We’ll be featuring garlic in cooking and have mini sessions on growing garlic, and a garlic tasting.  Donations appreciated

September 12-Pepper Day. Enjoy a free pepper tasting

September 26-Apple Festival.  Enter the Apple Dessert Contest, win $100!  Cider Fundraiser & Fiber Day!

October 3-Squashtober and last Cooking Day. Taste the vast array of winter and summer squash.

October 10-Last Market

November 21-11am to 2pm,Thanksgiving Market. Let’s hope it’s warmer this year!

November 28- 11am to 2pm, 1st Winter Market and Chili Cook-off.  Enter the Chili contest and win $100!

Saturday December 6-2nd Winter Market, Free Market Christmas Shop, and stay for the Christmas Parade and Town events
