The Independence Farmers Market received a grant from Grayson County from funds provided in the first CARES Stimulus Bill to help local non-profits recover losses and cover costs due to the pandemic. These funds will help cover increased operating costs incurred by the Market as it pivoted to provide a safe, touchless, Online-only platform and losses in donations resulting from the cancellation of regular Market fundraising events. In addition funding will assist the Market to offer Online classes and demonstrations this winter and early spring while Covid restrictions are still in place. Please stay tuned for details about our virtual “Grow More Vegetables” classes and cooking classes featuring Chef Jen.
