You can find….what? at the Free Market??

People often ask us what they can donate.  That list would go on forever!  We do not take clothing, books or furniture (except on the dock), due to space limitations.  But you might be surprised what we do have, and what you can donate!

-Random hardware (screws, nails, doorknobs, hinges, light bulbs, fixtures, plumbing supplies)…. assuming they could be used again

-Sewing and knitting supplies (thread, needles, yarn, measuring tapes, pins, seam rippers, scissors, patterns)

-Office supplies (paper of all kinds, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, folders, binders, note pads, stickers).  Clean out that junk drawer!

-Mismatched dishes, tableware, tablecloths, placemats, table runners, pot holders, cloth napkins, and paper picnic supplies.

-Greeting cards of all kinds!  With the price of new cards, these are very popular with our customers.

-Boxes for moving, boxes for mailing packages, broken-down boxes for sheet mulching

-Gift wrapping for any occasion—partial rolls of wrapping paper, ribbons, gift bags, tissue paper.  Come here first when you need to wrap a gift!

-Toys for all ages (puzzles, balls, games, coloring books, crayons, baby items.  When grandchildren visit, come get some things to amuse them, and bring them back when they leave.

And sometimes you will find seed packets, houseplants, or produce!  The Free Market is a good place to share your excess with your neighbors.  Or just to meet your neighbors and have fun browsing.  We are open 10-2 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday except July 28-29, when we are closed for the Rt. 21 Yard Sale.
