The last Farmers Market Winter Market is this SATURDAY December 7th. The Market will be held in Town Park from 11am -2pm in conjunction with Town of Independence events. In addition, The Free Market holds it’s annual Free Christmas Shop at the Gate Center on Davis Street from 11am to 3pm. The Shop is open to children ages 5-14 from 11 am-1pm. “Elves” will be available to help kids choose 3 gifts. Everyone is welcome to make their gift selections after 1pm.
The Winter Market features IFM Kids Bucks to the first 25 kids to the manager’s booth and free kids crafts. The weather looks better than the last two Winter Markets, thank goodness. They were cold! A big thank you to everyone who came out anyway. This is your last chance to shop in person but just a reminder that the Online Market is open all year except a break on Christmas and New Year’s Day. The 18th will be the last Online pickup. We’ll reopen for orders on New Year’s Day for delivery January 8th. The Free Market sets aside all their best donations for the gift shop. If you know a child or adult that would like to shop, please pass the word. I hope to see you in Independence on December 7th! In addition there will be a Christmas Bazaar at the firehouse on Davis street hosted by Grayson Glo in the morning and another at the 1908 Courthouse in the afternoon. The parade starts at 5:30 this year.
