The 2026 Preseason vendor meeting on March 27, 11am to 2pm at the VFW. The VFW is at 115 Klondike Rd, Independence, VA 24348. It’s a potluck. Attendance is expected. (Coming from Independence, Klondike Rd is a left off HWY 58.)
Just a reminder, if you plan to use a scale at the Market, it must be ANSI approved and inspected by Donna Harless at Weights and measures. Donna will be at the vendor meeting so please bring your scale. If that doesn’t work for you, you must make arrangements for inspection; her contact information is Donna.Harless@vdacs.virginia.gov, 276-228-4127.
In the ongoing effort to keep our Market sustainable, the board has increased our fundraising efforts and examined all current sources of income. Vendor fees are one component of market income and the board determined that we need to increase vendor fees this year. The Market Fees for 2026 are as follows: Car side of the pavilion $150, HWY 21 side $120, tent area $100. The day fee remains $20. Seniority is the primary factor for placement but regular attendance, helpfulness, and arriving on time matter too.
