The public is invited to join the Grayson Permaculture Group at the Permaculture Garden at Church of the Good Shepherd (9441 Grayson Parkway, Galax VA) for a workshop June 13, from 9am to 1 pm. This workshop explores Permaculture methods for building a food forest, planning fruit tree guilds, and using water with swales and rainwater catchment systems. The Food Forest is now 10 years old and provides a superb model for folks interested in using these methods in their own landscape.
