The kids are out of school but summer school starts this week. The kids planted, harvested, and ate greens from the Tower garden. From April to June we harvested about 11/2 pounds every 2 weeks.
The outdoor garden got off to a slower start but kids picked and took home spinach and kale and planted potatoes, pumpkins, broccoli, flowers, sugar snap peas, radishes, carrots, tomatoes and peppers that the summer school students will harvest and enjoy. We tried to schedule the pumpkins so the kids could enter them in the Grayson County Fair this August.
