Kids enjoy harvest from the School Garden

48 first graders have enjoyed 2 harvests from the School Garden. They tasted lettuce and radishes in class on May 13 and took the same ingredients home on May 20. In addition, they thinned radishes, weeded the entire garden, and mulched potatoes and newly planted tomato and pepper plants. They also planted watermelon seeds. Any produce and flowers that look good in August will be entered in the Grayson County Fair on the 8th and 9th. The last garden day will be June 3rd.
