It is my pleasure to announce GLC raised over $9500 at the Harvest Moon Social and Auction this year! We had a record crowd of around 130 people and we all enjoyed the delicious food prepared by Becca’s Backwoods Bean. A big thank you to servers Casey Johnson, Doug Sanders and Valarie Cowden and kitchen helpers Ann Watson, Gesche Morley, and Laura Houston. Also to Michael Jenkins our bartender, decorator Jackie Hayter, musician Bill Baldwin and auctioneer Doug Vaught.

Or feel free to stop by the office is you prefer to pay by check or cash. Debby is usually in the office Tuesday 1-3. I’m usually in the office Monday and Wednesday 10-3. Please call or text Michelle at 276-768-0597 just to be sure some one will be in the office.
The gathering also serves as our annual meeting where the membership approves the slate of officers. For 2026-2027 Casey Johnson will serve as President, Valarie Cowden as Vice President, Kevin Strawn as Treasurer, Ann Watson as secretary. Joyce Roberts and John Alexander remain as at-large members and Paul Hoyle and Diane Werth were approved as new at-large members.
