Are you interested in joining the Independence Farmers Market? Save the date for the preseason vendor meeting on Friday April 14th from 11-2. It’s a potluck lunch and presentation of rules and schedule. Attendance is expected if you plan to be a vendor this year.
Heather Wheeler will present on the Senior Farmers Market and other VDACS programs, Donna Harless will be certifying scales in the IFM/GLC office at 104 Courthouse. All scales used at the Market need to be certified. If you plan to use a scale at the Market, please drop it off at the office before the meeting. Donna will test them during the meeting and they will be ready to pick up afterwards.
We will open and likely remain on Courthouse Street again this year. The Town has hired Laura Ratcliffe as the new manager and we look forward to seeing real progress at Town Park under her leadership.
